Thank you for following along with the blog. Over the past couple of months, I stepped back from writing here to pour my energy into something new—a book that tells the story of my last eight years, as I wandered through life trying to find purpose after failure.

This isn’t a “quick fix” kind of book. It won’t hand you a magic formula to erase your past or tie up all the loose ends of your pain. What it does offer is an honest look at what it means to walk forward after everything has shattered.

To my surprise, I didn’t encounter a dramatic spiritual awakening or hear the audible voice of God. For a long time, I hoped for something like that. Instead, what I encountered was silence. And strangely enough, it was in the silence that I found God.

As I turned to Scripture during this season, I discovered that many of the saints experienced the same thing. They faced moments of deep personal failure and the quiet that followed felt like abandonment. But it wasn’t. The silence was God’s invitation into something deeper, something they couldn’t have imagined before. Their failures became the doorway into that silence—into surrender.

This fall, I’m launching a 12-week podcast series that follows the chapters of the book. We’ll walk together through what it means to seek God when He seems silent, and what we can discover in that hidden place.
